Students from Thailand Welcomed for Internship

Sippakom Suansalee (Sip) and Khunakorn Kocharint (Jai), students from the Faculty of Architecture at King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang in Thailand, who are currently studying at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of the Ryukyus, underwent workplace training at our office from Monday, June 27 to Friday, July 1, 2016.

At their university, Jai majors in architecture, and Sip majors in interior design. During their internship, they were guided by our staff to visit and experience various architectural works and historical sites in Okinawa. On the final day, they participated in a workshop where they designed a hotel in a one-day design exercise. Their presentation, which creatively combined the knowledge of Okinawa's traditions, history, climate, and architecture gained through the internship combined with the cultural aspects of the Asian region, was well received. We look forward to their future success!
