Environmental Forest Fureai
2007 Cultural & Educational Facilities
We planned this facility based on the core principles of creating a community-rooted space, a healthy environment, and a place harmonizing with nature.
The front of the facility features a deep eave, facilitating the shared use of a multi-purpose plaza and the integration of indoor and outdoor spaces, creating an area where community events and farmers markets can be held, fostering a sense of community.
A portion of the electricity consumed by the facility is generated using energy from waste incineration, along with the effective utilization of renewable energy sources such as solar and wind power, which provides a space where visitors can learn about environmental sustainability. High ventilation windows are installed throughout to enhance airflow, reducing the need for air conditioning, while green roofing and rainwater utilization contribute to an environmentally conscious facility.
