A new landmark in Sakurazaka, Naha City, blending Okinawan tradition with contemporary sensibilities from an international perspective

Located in the entertainment district of Sakurazaka, a pillar of Okinawa’s post-war recovery, this international hotel marks a new landmark in the area as it reaches a turning point seventy years after the end of the war.

The site faces both the beloved Sakurazaka Street and a newly established city road, situated at a nexus where various aspects of Naha intersect: the public market, Heiwa Dori area, Tsuboya Yachimun area, Kokusai Dori area, and the evolving Sakurazaka entertainment district with its mix of old and new.

This project aimed to welcome international visitors and create new possibilities for Naha as a city of tourism. The complex urban landscape adjacent to the city is integrated as a garden, and a sky pool on the third floor introduces an otherworldly space into the cityscape. The restaurant and bar on the upper floors offer views of the undulating water features, creating a unique experience and new perspectives that can only be found here.

This new hotel blends Okinawan tradition with contemporary sensibilities from an international perspective, offering a fresh and stimulating experience.
