Miyako Port Town Revitalization Basic Facility Development Plan Formulation Project

In Miyakojima City, the Miyako Port Town Revitalization Project has been initiated to revitalize the local economy by integrally developing Hirara Port and its surrounding areas. This project sought to establish the infrastructure and environment capable of accommodating increasing tourists.

As the first phase of this project, our task involved preparing for the development of reception facilities to meet the rapidly growing cruise demand. We created an efficient layout and circulation plan to ensure the smooth movement of tourists. Additionally, we organized the conditions and necessary functions related to customs, immigration, and quarantine (CIQ) facilities and tourist information centers. Based on this, we formulated a basic architectural plan, including structural and facility plans for the buildings.
