Okinawa Health Biotechnology Research and Development Center

The Okinawa Health Biotechnology Research and Development Center was planned to become a hub that fosters the creation of attractive products and high-value-added new industries in Okinawa through research and demonstration development focused on health biotechnology in collaboration with industry, academia, and government.

The facility is composed of three buildings arranged around a central courtyard to clarify functions and movement: the Administration Building, Research Building, and Demonstration Building. The Administration Building collaborates with TTC and OITC, providing small-scale meeting and training rooms and enhancing spaces for prototype exhibitions and business meetings. The Research Building emphasizes functionality and relaxation, featuring laboratories (rental labs), shared facilities like clean rooms, and conveniently located break lounges. The Demonstration Building is also designed with flexible spaces to conduct various demonstration tests for processing, extraction, and cultivation, with a clear separation between contaminated and non-contaminated areas.
