Okinawa Kaiho Bank Yomitan Branch
2004 Government Buildings & Offices
Due to the aging of the existing building, the new building was designed and planned to reflect the environment and community service connections built over decades with the local area and residents.
The layout places the parking lot in front of the main road, the building in the center of the site, and another parking lot behind the building. Before construction, the old bank building was adjacent to the sidewalk on the main road, creating a very narrow bus stop. To ensure the safety and comfort of nearby children and residents, the bus stop was incorporated within the site, with direct access to the building from the stop.
Currently, the front parking area serves as a venue for Eisa performances during the Obon season.
