Onna Village Museum
2000 Cultural & Educational Facilities
This facility is a base for activities that develop and create new local culture. It also functions as a sub-center for administrative services and as a community learning center that accommodates not only village residents but also tourists and school excursions.
By placing the main functions of the museum (exhibition and storage) on the second floor, the design captures panoramic views of the sea while addressing humidity and security concerns.
Multipurpose rooms such as training rooms and libraries are placed in separate buildings on the first floor, connected with the plaza, courtyard, and experiential field to create an open space with continuity between indoor and outdoor areas.
