The Terrace Club at Busena

2011 Hotels & Tourism

As an accommodation proposing a new resort lifestyle, the concept of “health-consciousness” is central, incorporating dining, exercise, and rest into a wellness resort hotel. Leveraging its oceanfront location, the resort offers services centered on health, such as thalassotherapy with warm seawater pools, relaxation services, and health-focused dining. Given its proximity to existing resort facilities like The Busena Terrace and Bankoku Shinryokan, the design emphasizes cohesion with these properties by actively incorporating perforated blocks and tiled roofs. The building layout minimizes its volume when viewed from the main road, ensuring it blends seamlessly with the surrounding nature. To create an integrated space with the natural environment, the design features open-air (semi-outdoor) spaces with external corridors and large sliding windows. The divided building layout also creates a variety of courtyards, pools, and outdoor spaces, enhancing the immersive resort experience.
